چکیده

Abstract A data-based multivariate method such as response surface methods and desirability function is considered advantageous for analysing coagulation treatment optimization. Thus, this study investigated the optimization of coagulation–flocculation using methodology. The parameters were pH, alum dose alkalinity. optimum conditions individual responses: turbidity, colour, residual aluminium phenanthrene pH 7.0, 80.0 mg/L alkalinity mg/L; 6.5, 70.0 90.0 63.2 6.2, mg/L, respectively. model equation derived from was adequate predicting values. quadratic significant ( p < 0.0001), it had a high correlation (R2, 0.746–0.975) an insignificant (LOF, > 0.05) lack fit.

Developing New Processes and Optimizing Performance Using Response Surface Methodology

Response surface methodology (RSM) is a very efficient tool to provide a good practical insight into developing new process and optimizing them. This methodology could help engineers to raise a mathematical model to represent the behavior of system as a convincing function of process parameters. Through this paper the sequential nature of the RSM surveyed for process engineers and its relations...

Surface Roughness Modeling in Precision Turning of Aluminium by Polycrystalline Diamond Tool Using Response Surface Methodology

Diamond, because of its high modulus of elasticity, chemical inertness and exceptionally high hardness, is ideal for obtaining fine surface finish and accuracy. Today’s requirement of high precision parts like magnetic memory device, laser equipment, electrostatic copier, printing machine, etc., made of non-ferrous materials, such as aluminum, copper and resin demands very high surface finish. ...

A high-throughput template for optimizing Drosophila organ culture with response-surface methods.

The Drosophila wing imaginal disc is a key model organ for molecular developmental genetics. Wing disc studies are generally restricted to end-point analyses of fixed tissues. Recently several studies have relied on limited data from discs cultured in uncharacterized conditions. Systematic efforts towards developing Drosophila organ culture techniques are becoming crucial for further progress. ...

Aluminium Surface Activation Using Atmospheric-pressure Plasma

Contact angles and Attenuated Total Reflection FTIR measurements were performed to study plasma activation of aluminium surface in air atmosphere using Diffuse Coplanar Surface Barrier Discharge plasma source. Two types of aluminium surfaces were used: i) industrially produced bulk aluminium samples; ii) thermally evaporated thin films of aluminium on glass (sets of 400 nm and 2 μm thickness). ...

Response Surface Methodology for Optimizing Hyper Parameters

The performance of an algorithm often largely depends on some hyper parameter which should be optimized before its usage. Since most conventional optimization methods suffer from some drawbacks, we developed an alternative way to find the best hyper parameter values. Contrary to the well known procedures, the new optimization algorithm is based on statistical methods since it uses a combination...
